Our Mission
We simplify alternative dispute resolution by providing a timely and cost-effective pathway to mediation and arbitration.
Why We Exist
We genuinely believe that mediations and arbitrations are a better path than litigation. Our purpose is to make these options easier, and more accessible, (and cost-effective) for all parties involved.
We’re accomplishing this by providing a network of active or retired senior counsel to help parties (through their counsel) achieve early and acceptable outcomes. We aim to become the most trusted resource for alternative dispute resolution in Canada.

Our Values
The Resolution Network was founded to make mediation and arbitration more accessible to the legal profession. These values are what drive us.
Excellence
We pursue excellence in every service we offer. We recognize that dispute resolution plays a pivotal role in business and personal relationships. That’s why our network comprises the leading mediators and arbitrators in BC.
Accessibility
We are dedicated to simplifying the mediation and arbitration process. We make it accessible, easy, and convenient for parties, mediators, arbitrators and counsel. Our system is easy, reliable and geared to achieve a faster, more cost-effective path to resolution—saving time and resources.
Community
We are committed to helping the legal community of British Columbia. We enable counsel to better serve their clients by making mediations and arbitrations more accessible, streamlined, and manageable, thus enhancing the overall efficiency of dispute resolution in the province.
Our Story
Founder Ronald Josephson is a retired barrister who has always held a deep respect for the legal system and its judges, but he also witnessed firsthand the growing complexity and costliness of litigation. With cases taking an average of 18 months to reach trial—and then being subject to frequent delays caused by a shortage of judges and court time—he saw the frustration building for clients.
Driven by a passion to deliver exceptional outcomes for commercial and other disputes, Ronald recognized that alternative dispute resolution in some cases could be a better way to achieve that goal. He created The Resolution Network to resolve conflicts efficiently, effectively, and outside the formal legal system—a streamlined alternative to the courtroom. His mission is to help counsel achieve the best possible results for their clients without the costly burden of drawn-out litigation.
