Audra is an experienced family lawyer who has been practicing since 2000, when she was first called to the Bar in Manitoba. She has practiced in British Columbia since 2012 and is currently based in FH&P Lawyers’ West Kelowna office. Over the past two decades, she has built a strong and reputable practice focused on education-led approaches and mediation in high-conflict cases, particularly where family violence, mental health, and substance misuse are contributing factors. Her work also includes the litigation and mediation of complex asset division and income determination and support issues in high-net-worth matters.
As a trained mediator, Audra understands the emotional and practical complexities of family law. She is also a collaborative law practitioner. Throughout her career, she has served in numerous professional leadership roles, including on the Canadian Bar Association’s National Alternative Dispute Resolution Section, as Co-Chair of the Okanagan Family Bar Section, and as a member of the CBA National Family Section. Her contributions also extend to work with CLEBC as a Family Violence Training Coach and service as Executive Liaison to the Court Services Committee, Equality & Diversity Committee, and R.E.A.L. Committee, as well as a member of Provincial Council. Most recently, Audra has been appointed to the CBABC Advisory Committee to Judicial Council.
Audra has been a frequent speaker on family law topics for organizations including the Canadian Bar Association, the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia, the Federation of Law Societies National Conference, and the BC Notaries Association.
Deeply passionate about her work, Audra has adopted her father’s “straight shooter,” down-to-earth approach to advocacy and communication. She recognizes the immense responsibility that comes with representing clients and is committed to a “children-first” model. She works closely with a range of para-professionals—including parenting coaches, parenting coordinators, substance-use specialists, counsellors, business valuators, and other financial experts—to ensure comprehensive and effective support for every case.
When she isn’t practicing law, Audra enjoys spending time in her garden, exploring Okanagan hikes, playing guitar, listening to music, reading, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and her four rescued animals.
