Ronald Josephson is a mediator with The Resolution Network, bringing four decades of legal experience as a commercial litigator to help parties resolve disputes efficiently and effectively. Retired from his 47-year career as senior litigation counsel, Ronald is recognized as a leader in corporate, commercial and business litigation, including corporate governance issues and minority shareholder remedies, real estate disputes, employment claims and commercial fraud cases.
Ronald has appeared before the Supreme Court of British Columbia, the Court of Appeal of British Columbia , and the Federal Court of Canada. He has also appeared at all levels of Courts in South Africa. His contributions to landmark decisions, frequently cited in legal precedents, underscore his experience and expertise as senior counsel. Throughout his career, Ronald has demonstrated exceptional skill in handling complex disputes. His work in a precedent-setting case regarding special costs in litigation and his recognition as a “Litigation Star” by Benchmark Canada for five consecutive years highlight his professional excellence.
Ronald also made significant contributions to the legal profession through mentorship of young lawyers, teaching at PLTC sessions, and serving on the Vancouver Bar Council. His pro bono efforts, including representation of First Nations clients and work with the Jewish Family Services Agency of Vancouver, underscore his dedication to community service.

In addition to his legal achievements, Ronald is the founder of The Gratitude Aeffect Foundation, established in 2009 to support local food banks and raise awareness about homelessness. In 2024, he launched The Resolution Network to help the legal community find better and more accessible ways to conduct alternate dispute resolution procedures like mediations and arbitrations.
